BIG 10 Record Predictions

My prediction for Michigans season:

@ Notre Dame: L

vs. Western Michigan: W

vs. SMU: W

vs. Nebraska: W

@ Northwestern: W

vs. Maryland: W

vs. Wisconsin: W

@ Michigan State: W

vs. Penn State: W

@ Rutgers: W

vs. Indiana: W

@ Ohio State: L

Overall: 10-2

Notre Dame is a toss up, but being in Notre Dame I don't think Michigan will come out with a win as they most likely will have not yet found their identity on offense. The Wolverines  dont have that tough of a game until the Wisco, Mich  St. Penn St. stretch. Wisconsin is another toss up, but by then Michigan should be in a groove on offense good enough to get past the Wisconsin defense. Michigan State and Penn State should both be just a step below Michigan and should be wins but will still be close and I wouldnt be too surprised if all these games were losses. Unfortunately for Michigan they play Ohio State in Columbus this year, so a win is very unlikely. Michigan should finish in the top 10 and play in a NY6 bowl.

My predictions for Wisconsins season:

vs. Western Kentucky: W

vs. New Mexico Lobos: W

vs. BYU: W

@ Iowa: L

vs. Nebraska: W

@ Michigan: L

vs. Illinois: W

@ Northwestern: W

vs. Rutgers: W

@ Penn State: L

@ Purdue: W

vs. Minnesota: W

Overall: 9-3

Wisconsin is scarily similar to the undefeated Iowa team from a few years ago, silk soft schedule where they didnt even play a single top 50 offense until the big ten championship, where they were exposed. Now obviously Wisconsin is better than that Iowa team due to their Heisman candidate RB, but they will face a similar fate. Iowa at home is a completely different team than on the road, and just like they did to Ohio state last year they will beat up on Wisconsin, even though they are not the better team. Against Michigan is a toss up with Michigan getting the edge being at home, the same goes for Penn state. I wouldn't expect to see them in an NY6 bowl unless they win the Big 10 championship, but they will be in a solid bowl and should be top 15.

My predictions for Ohia States season:

vs. Oregon State: W

vs. Rutgers: W

vs. TCU: W

vs. Tulane: W

@ Penn State: L

vs. Indiana: W

vs. Minnesota: W

@ Purdue: W

vs. Nebraska: W

@ Michigan State: W

@ Maryland: W

vs. Michigan: W

Ohio State has an easy schedule with only 3 real games, maybe 4 if TCU has a big year. Ohio State has a tendency to lose moderately tough away games that they should win and I think that this year that'll be Penn State. They could lose at Michigan State, but they most likely won't unlike Penn State. Playing Michigan at home is a huge boost, and should help continue their dominance over Michigan. If Ohio State loses to Michigan or Michigan State as well as Penn State you can all but count out the Big 10 from the playoffs. Its gonna be a crazy close year in the Big 10 and only one team will be able to make it in.

My predictions for Michigan State's season:

vs. Utah State: W

@ Arizona State: W

@ Indiana: W

vs. Central Michigan: W

vs. Northwestern: W

@ Penn State: W

vs. Michigan: L

vs. Purdue: W

@ Maryland: W

vs. Ohio State: L

@ Nebraska: W

vs. Rutgers: W

Overall: 10-2

Michigan State has a laughable easy schedule with only 3 games. Nebraska and Arizona State, and maybe Northwestern might put up good halves but will otherwise be push overs. I think they will be able to pull off an upset over Penn State due to how they matchup. And also just because of Penn States affinty for random losses. But they definitely wont get by Michigan or Ohio State. I would say NY6 bound but they could be held back by their schedule, or just cause theres too many big 10 teams already. Will be an interesting season tho.

My predictions for Penn States season:

vs. App State: W

@ Pitt: W

vs. Kent State: W

@ Illinois: W

vs. Ohio State: W

vs. Michigan State: L

@ Indiana: W

vs. Iowa: W

@ Michigan: L

vs. Wisconsin: W

@ Rutgers: W

vs. Maryland: W

Overall: 10-2

The first 4 games they can play their second unit and still win. I do think at home they will beat Ohio State as they did a few years ago but will then lose to Michigab State who they dont match up well with. Playing in Michigan I dont think Penn State can win. And at home against Iowa and Wisconsin are much easier games than on the road. Besides those games everything else is an automatic win. NY6 Bowl bound
